What Naturopathic Medicine Means to Me

Hi all!

It’s been a long journey to this point, but I’m so excited to be opening my own practice and I’m so excited to welcome you all to the new practice.

My goal with building Root & Reason Naturopathic Medicine is to build a clinic where patients are treated with compassion. A place where modern medicine is combined with traditional wisdom. One of the things that brought me into Naturopathic Medicine is the incredible power that lifestyle changes, dietary changes, and botanicals has in changing patients health and life experiences. I love finding little changes that patients can make in their lives to support their health goals.

I regularly use things like pharmaceutical medications, supplements, diet, and lifestyle changes. However, I also have a special love for herbal and botanical medicines. Blending things like tinctures, or choosing herbal products already on the market is a powerful way to make changes in a person’s health status. Botanicals are being used in many ways that they have been used historically, but thanks to new research, we are also learning new ways in which herbs and their derivatives can be used in our daily lives!

I chose to go into Naturopathic Medicine to provide people with the same care that I received from a Naturopathic Doctor when I was young. Care centered on allowing the body to heal itself and using nature to prompt the body to do that. I’m opening Root & Reason Naturopathic Medicine so I can focus on the same things, and allow patients to receive the same level of care I once received and hope to give every day.
